TheOU Registrar Officeworks to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally we partner with parents counselors and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher education. Our goal is to build a vibrant inclusive community on campus by recruiting students with diverse backgrounds educational experiences and involvement.

Were currently looking for a new team member in our Norman office to serve as aSenior Student Program Specialist.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform office duties in support of the Transcript Evaluation team and the Registrars Office.
  • Maintain files indicating student progress letters of recommendations transcripts etc. as required.
  • Contribute daily to a collaborative positive and supportive work environment.
  • Follow all FERPA guidelines.
  • Identify problems improvements and errors to proactively raise these to the attention of appropriate management and propose solutions.
  • Provide clear and concise answers to student faculty staff and third-party questions related to transcript evaluation through the Transcript Evaluation email and department phone.
  • Perform Credential Evaluation and post transfer coursework for all incoming degree-seeking and current domestic and international students to include exercising judgment to determine course equivalencies.
  • Perform Credential Evaluation and post credits for prior learning.
  • Assist colleges and departments in determining course evaluations and equivalencies.
  • Assist the Admissions and Recruitment Team and the Transcript Evaluation Team with processing transfer transcripts for new degree-seeking transfer students as well as current OU students.
  • Act as primary point of contact for undergraduate OU Online students transcript processing.
  • Facilitate the syllabus review process for departmental course equivalencies as primary point of contact for students faculty and staff.
  • Serve as ancillary support to the Senior Credential Evaluation Coordinator with Study Abroad credit evaluation.
  • Consult with Senior Credential Evaluation Coordinator and Assistant Registrar as needed.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
