Water/Wastewater Conveyance Project Manager
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Conveyance Project Manager with 10 years of experience in the planning design and permitting of sustainable water resources projects. The role focuses on the conveyance and storage of wastewater recycled water and potable water systems.
This position requires strong technical expertise in engineering design system analysis and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a background in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering with specialized experience in water resources or water engineering. The role requires excellent communication skills strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as technical lead for water and wastewater conveyance projects
Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
Oversee engineers CAD staff and supporting technical disciplines
Manage project schedules budgets and deliverables
Perform quality control and technical oversight
Monitor project activities and implement corrective actions when necessary
Conduct system modeling and hydraulic analysis
Perform process and hydraulic calculations and design
Prepare construction documents including specifications and drawings
Provide technical writing and documentation support
Develop cost estimates
Conduct field studies and site evaluations
Support research and pilot testing efforts
Participate in master planning efforts
Prepare environmental permit applications
Coordinate with vendors and regulatory agencies
Provide construction administration and field support
Support proposal development and business development efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Environmental Engineering or related field (Masters degree preferred)
10 years of relevant professional experience
2 years of experience serving as a lead engineer or project manager
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering design software
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead project teams and manage client-facing responsibilities
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods
Occasional standing walking and reaching
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
Close vision required; color vision helpful
Ability to perform occasional fieldwork on uneven terrain and walk moderate to long distances
Work Environment
Office-based environment with moderate noise levels
Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Local and occasional travel may be required
