The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in supporting our Acquisitions Manager in sourcing and procuring inventory across our four dealership locations. This position combines analytical decision-making logistics coordination and vendor relationship management to ensure we maintain the right inventory to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities
Inventory Analysis & Strategy
- Assist Acquisitions Manager to analyze current inventory levels vehicle turn rates and market trends to identify acquisition needs
- Partner with sales managers across multiple dealership locations to determine inventory gaps and opportunities
- Assist in evaluating vehicle pricing market competitiveness and profitability potential
- Support inventory planning efforts to maintain optimal inventory mix and supply levels
Vehicle Sourcing & Procurement
- Assist with purchasing vehicles from auctions wholesalers and other sourcing channels
- Evaluate vehicle condition reports pricing data and market comparables
- Help identify and pursue new sourcing opportunities and partners
- Support acquisition decision-making using data research and established processes
Logistics & Coordination
- Dispatch drivers to pick up purchased vehicles and coordinate transportation logistics
- Arrange and manage third-party transportation vendors when needed
- Track vehicle movement and ensure on-time delivery to dealership locations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all acquisition and transport processes are followed
Process Execution & Administrative Support
- Follow detailed acquisition and inventory processes with a high level of accuracy
- Maintain organized documentation and records related to vehicle purchases and transport
- Assist with internal reporting tracking and data management
- Support continuous improvement of acquisition and logistics processes
Relationship Management
- Maintain professional relationships with auctions transport vendors and other sourcing partners
- Communicate effectively with internal teams across multiple dealership locations
- Represent the organization professionally in all acquisition-related interactions
Qualifications
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate data and make informed decisions
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking ability
- Excellent communication and supervision skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow structured processes
- Self-motivated with strong accountability and follow-through
- Automotive industry experience is a plusbut not required
- Experience with logistics inventory management purchasing or operations is a plus
- Strong computer skills including Excel or similar tools
- Interest in developing a career in vehicle acquisition or inventory management
