Job Summary

This role combines front office administration with payroll processing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interacting with clients while also managing payroll submissions for a large volume of employees across multiple client accounts.

Payroll Duties:

  • Process and submit payroll for multiple clients accurately and on schedule

  • Review timesheets wage calculations deductions and tax withholdings

  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations

  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain payroll records

  • Coordinate with clients regarding payroll changes new hires and terminations

Administrative / Front Desk Duties:

  • Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner

  • Answer and direct incoming calls

  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars

  • Maintain client files (electronic and physical)

  • Assist accounting staff with administrative tasks as needed



Requirements

  • 2 years of payroll processing experience (multi-client or high-volume preferred)

  • QuickBooks desktop experience

  • Experience in a CPA firm or accounting environment is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and tax withholdings

  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Required Skills:

    Prior experience in office operations administrative support or a related field. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general business software systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.


    Required Education:

    High school diploma or GED required relevant school experience
