In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with forging suppliers to ensure compliance with safety quality delivery and cost expectations.
  • Lead supplier onboarding qualification and ongoing performance evaluation ensuring alignment with Emerson standards and European nuclear requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design-for-manufacturing activities develop qualification criteria and contribute to new product introduction success.
  • Monitor market trends raw material availability and lead times to inform demand planning and mitigate supply risks.
  • Negotiate commercial termspricing delivery payment structures stocking programsfollowing Emersons contract and compliance guidelines.
  • Adhere to trade compliance import/export and supply chain security regulations within the Italian and EU market context.
  • Utilize data to support project bids protect margins and enable effective cost control.
  • Lead and contribute to process improvements that enhance supplier performance and operational efficiency.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • Experience in procurement supply chain commodity management or strategic sourcingpreferably in engineered components or forged materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an international environment.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Strong negotiation communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English; Italian language skills are an advantage for local supplier engagement.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy and internationally (estimated 1020%).
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of forging processes materials and quality requirements (e.g. stainless and carbon steel).
  • Experience in supplier development contract negotiation or nuclear sector sourcing.
  • Familiarity with cost-modeling techniques to support commercial decisions.
  • Background supporting high-mix low-volume manufacturing environments.
