Job Summary

Location: Droylsden North West

Role Type: Full-time On-site
Salary: Up to 35000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: MondayFriday 9am5pm (Saturday working may be required)
Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established supplier and installer of domestic and commercial flooring across the North West. Due to continued growth they are seeking a capable and commercially minded General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business. Working closely with the business owner the successful candidate will take responsibility for office operations financial administration sales coordination and internal systems. The aim is to ensure the business operates efficiently professionally and with clear structure as it continues to grow. This is a hands-on leadership role within a growing owner-led business suited to someone who is proactive organised and confident taking ownership. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the business
  • Support the owner in driving operational efficiency and performance
  • Manage financial administration including payments invoicing and reporting
  • Implement and improve internal systems and processes
  • Coordinate sales activity quotations order processing and customer follow-ups
  • Act as a senior point of contact for customers suppliers and contractors
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation
  • Identify and implement practical improvements across the business

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in a General Manager Operations Manager or senior Office Manager role
  • Strong organisational ability and commercial awareness
  • Confident managing financial administration and reporting
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable working closely with a business owner
  • Proactive decisive and capable of operating independently
  • Experience within construction trades retail or showroom environments would be advantageous
