NWTS Recruiting Fleet Maintenance Manager (Afternoon Shift)
Location: Brampton Ontario (Onsite)
Schedule: MondayFriday 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Compensation: $90000 $105000 CAD bonus full benefits

Northwest Talent Solutions (NWTS) is recruiting on behalf of a large established environmental services and fleet operations organization in the Brampton area. This is a leadership opportunity for a maintenance professional who understands that fleet uptime safety and technician development directly drive operational success.

What Youll Be Responsible For:

You will oversee the daily maintenance operations of a service fleet and lead a team of technicians to ensure safe reliable and efficient vehicle availability.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Managing maintenance operations for primary and secondary fleet equipment

• Ensuring vehicles are safe compliant and ready for operational use

• Leading and developing a team of technicians (310T techs apprentices and shop personnel)

• Implementing preventive maintenance programs and inspections

• Coordinating staffing scheduling and shop workflow

• Coaching mentoring and performance managing employees

• Supporting safety programs and regulatory compliance

• Reviewing capital equipment needs and maintenance standards

• Managing maintenance budgets and controlling operating costs

• Using fleet management systems and maintenance tracking tools

• Driving a positive team culture and strong safety environment

This is a hands-on leadership role youll be on the shop floor working closely with mechanics and operations teams to keep the fleet moving.

What You Bring:

• 5 years leadership experience supervising mechanics or technicians

• Experience managing a heavy-duty fleet truck shop or equipment maintenance operation

• Background in transportation waste services municipal fleet construction equipment logistics or similar industry

• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance and fleet reliability

• Experience coaching and developing technicians

• Valid drivers license

• Ability to work onsite afternoons (2:00 PM 10:30 PM)

Strongly Preferred:

• Experience in a unionized environment

• Managing 310T (Truck & Coach) mechanics or heavy-duty mechanics

• 310T license (asset not required)

• Experience with maintenance work order systems or fleet software

• Budget oversight and cost-control experience
