Role Information

The school is seeking a skilled analytical and highly organised Data Manager to take responsibility for managing maintaining and developing the schools data systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the school MIS (Bromcom) and ensuring all student/staff data is accurate and secure

  • Managing assessment cycles including data collection validation and analysis

  • Producing reports for teachers Heads of Year curriculum leads SLT and governors

  • Supporting performance analysis progress tracking and attainment reports

  • Preparing census returns (School Census Workforce Census) to statutory deadlines

  • Managing access rights system permissions and GDPR-compliant processes

  • Training staff on data entry analysis tools and reporting systems

  • Supporting timetabling processes and liaising with the Exams Officer

  • Creating dashboards and data visualisations that support teaching and leadership

  • Working closely with IT assessment leads and senior leaders to improve data strategy

This role requires someone who is confident with data highly accurate and comfortable producing complex analysis.

Requirements

  • Experience working with MIS systems (Bromcom Arbor SIMS or similar)

  • Strong analytical skills and proficient Excel user

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong understanding of GDPR and data compliance

  • Ability to explain data clearly to staff

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment
