The data team is crucial to the schools success ensuring information accuracy enabling effective tracking and supporting senior leaders with strategic analysis. The school uses Bromcom and Power BI to present clear and accessible data across departments.
The school is seeking a skilled analytical and highly organised Data Manager to take responsibility for managing maintaining and developing the schools data systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the school MIS (Bromcom) and ensuring all student/staff data is accurate and secure
Managing assessment cycles including data collection validation and analysis
Producing reports for teachers Heads of Year curriculum leads SLT and governors
Supporting performance analysis progress tracking and attainment reports
Preparing census returns (School Census Workforce Census) to statutory deadlines
Managing access rights system permissions and GDPR-compliant processes
Training staff on data entry analysis tools and reporting systems
Supporting timetabling processes and liaising with the Exams Officer
Creating dashboards and data visualisations that support teaching and leadership
Working closely with IT assessment leads and senior leaders to improve data strategy
This role requires someone who is confident with data highly accurate and comfortable producing complex analysis.
Experience working with MIS systems (Bromcom Arbor SIMS or similar)
Strong analytical skills and proficient Excel user
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong understanding of GDPR and data compliance
Ability to explain data clearly to staff
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment
