Role Information

The school is seeking a creative technically skilled and reliable Performing Arts Technician to support drama music and dance departments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support for theatre productions concerts assemblies and events

  • Operating and maintaining lighting and sound equipment

  • Supporting rehearsals technical runs set changes and stage management

  • Managing equipment inventories repairs and PAT testing schedules

  • Supporting classroom lessons with AV lighting sound and equipment setup

  • Collaborating with teaching staff to deliver creative projects and performances

  • Designing lighting plots sound cues and production effects when required

  • Assisting with props costumes set design and backstage organisation

  • Ensuring health & safety compliance in all performance spaces

  • Supporting whole-school events that require staging or technical expertise

Requirements

  • Experience in theatre tech sound engineering lighting design or stage management

  • Strong understanding of technical equipment and safe operation
