We are seeking a Hard Services Facilities Manager to oversee the safe compliant and efficient operation of engineering building services and critical infrastructure across our campus.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead the hard services and maintenance function including inhouse engineers and external service providers.
Oversee the operation performance and reliability of electrical mechanical and building systems.
Develop and deliver the campus maintenance strategy (PPM and reactive).
Plan and manage budgets for engineering services.
Ensure full compliance with statutory regulatory and organisational standards.
Work collaboratively with the wider facilities team research groups lab managers and operational teams to understand and meet business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
Significant experience managing hard FM or engineering services in complex highrisk environments.
Proven experience managing engineering contractors and service providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within research pharmaceutical biotech or other highly regulated laboratory environments.
Authorised Person (AP) or Senior Authorised Person (SAP) status for relevant systems.
IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
Experience with CAFM systems (TMS experience especially advantageous).

Additional Job Standards:

Occasional travel to other UK sites.
Participation in the managers oncall rota.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings O&M manuals and engineering specifications.
Ability to balance longterm strategic planning with daytoday operational demands.
