Group Manager, Analytics and Reporting

About This Role:

Workplace Arrangements:

This role can be done remotely as long as the candidate works within EST business hours. There will be occasional travel to the Ottawa Home Office 2-4 times per year.

Role Purpose: Lead a team of business analysts in delivering actionable analytics and insights to stakeholders and acting as subject matter experts to support and champion self-serve analytics in the organization.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Work with stakeholders to understand and prioritize opportunity for process improvement automation and an enhanced customer experience through analytical insight and data activation.

• Design implement and champion a self-serve analytics platform for the organization.

• Oversee data governance strategies for the analytics and reporting team to ensure high-quality output maintaining trust among stakeholders.

• Develop a thorough view and understanding of the Giant Tiger Customer by leveraging and steering the CDP roadmap

• Communicate the teams work and insight to leadership and stakeholders with recommendations to foster an environment of data-driven decision making and inform business roadmaps

• Acquire and manage information from various external and internal sources to champion insights across all levels of the organization

• Lead research and insights to inform company and departmental strategies overseeing retail research programs and commissioned studies such as environmental scans brand trackers and customer experience initiatives.

• Champion company understanding of GT customers and business opportunities by enhancing communication tools and frameworks while leading the design of customer panels and research instruments.

What Youll Bring:

• Education or background in Analytics Computer Science Business or a related field

• 4 Yearsexperience in leading a team of analysts in an enterprise setting

• Extensive work in modern BI Toolsets and self-serve Analytics

• Experience delivering insights to senior leaders and the broader organization

• Advanced SQL knowledge

• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into analytical frameworks

Assets You May Have:

• Google Cloud Platform Experience

• Segment and/or related CDP Experience

• BigQuery

• Retail-specific Experience

Travel Requirements

• Occasional Travel to Ottawa (2-4 times / year)

Short Term Incentive Plan: This role includes an annual bonus opportunity based on the percentage of base salary listed above with payout determined by company and individual performance.
