The Epic Security Manager of Operations is responsible for the day-to-day leadership governance and operational execution of Epic security across the enterprise. This role ensures consistent compliant and efficient access to Epic applications by overseeing security operations leading the Epic Security team and partnering closely with Identity & Access Management (IAM) Compliance Privacy Audit and clinical leadership. The Manager balances operational delivery with risk management standardization and continuous improvement to support safe patient care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership and oversight for Epic security administration including user provisioning role changes and de-provisioning.
Manage daily intake prioritization and fulfillment of Epic security requests in alignment with SLAs and operational expectations.
Ensure consistent application of role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles across all Epic users.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-risk access issues.
Lead coach and develop Epic Security Analysts and Senior Analysts.
Establish clear roles responsibilities performance expectations and metrics for the Epic Security team.
Conduct regular one-on-ones performance reviews and skills development planning.
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
