Job Title: Fire & Security Installation Engineer

Due to continued growth our client is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join their established engineering team in Newry. This role will predominantly focus on the installation of fire alarm systems making it ideal for engineers who enjoy project-based work and seeing systems through from first fix to commissioning.
While the primary emphasis is on installation candidates with experience in intruder alarms access control and gate automation will be highly desirable. Engineers with a service background are also encouraged to apply; however this position will best suit those with strong install expertise or a clear preference for installation work.
Working across sites typically within a 20-mile radius of Newry this opportunity offers local projects a stable workload and the chance to work with high-quality systems in a supportive and flexible environment.
Our client is also keen to speak with 2nd 3rd or 4th year apprentices who are progressing well in their training and looking to further develop their hands-on installation experience within a knowledgeable and supportive team.

Primarily installing fire alarm systems across commercial and industrial sites
Supporting installation projects across intruder alarms access control and gate automation where required
Occasional servicing maintenance and fault-finding on existing systems
Ensuring all installations meet industry standards and client specifications
Completing relevant documentation accurately
Delivering a professional customer-focused service on every site
Proven experience installing fire alarm systems (highly preferred)
Additional experience with security systems such as intruder alarms access control or automation is advantageous
Service engineers looking to transition into a more installation-focused role are welcome
2nd 3rd or 4th year apprentices with relevant training are encouraged to apply
Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
Capable of working independently and managing workload effectively
Professional approach with strong communication skills
Full UK driving licence

Company van fuel card and equipment provided
Monday to Friday core hours (8am5pm) with flexibility
Stable local work with minimal travel
