Position Title: Sound Light Video Technician
Reports To: Director of Worship Technologies
Summary Position
This is a part-time non-exempt position of 8-10 hours per month working with the Director of Worship Technologies Sound team and School Music Teacher to enhance the experience of those attending school related functions. This employee will monitor and operate Audio Video Lighting Streaming and Recording equipment in the sanctuary during rehearsals and performances.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Sound Light and Video (SLV) equipment for chapel rehearsals and other Ascension Lutheran Church and School sponsored events
- Church and School sponsored events include but are not limited to school Christmas and spring productions three worship services each weekend weekly chapel services choir and praise band rehearsals Great Music at Ascension concerts and rehearsals weddings memorial services.
- Secure equipment and lock up campus after services
Qualifications
- Works well under pressure and with time constraints
- Comfortable with technology
- Proficient with current computer software
- A great attitude and a willingness to learn
- Good time management skills
- Previous audio/visual experience preferred but not mandatory
- A personal faith in Jesus Christ that informs a sense of vocation
Work Environment
The Technical Director will work in a typical indoor church sanctuary environment and will be involved in the typical variety of activities involved in setting up and operating SLV equipment. He/she may be expected to lift up to 25 lbs on an as-needed basis and over 25 lbs on a rare occasion in the performance of job duties.
Salary Range:
$17.50/hr
