STARTING DATE: August 2026

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Teachers Salary Schedule commensurate with experience and education ranging from $51573.00 to $81279.00 annually.

REPORTS TO: Principal or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR:184 days per yearas per the Board-adopted calendar.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid Ohio Teacher Licensure/Certification (010101 and 010200) or ability to obtain. Bachelors degree in a related course of study. A minimum of five years experience working in a vet clinic and three of the five must be current. Candidates must hold training certificates related to animal health biosecurity or livestock management. Experience working with both large and small animals. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to build rapport with high school students and many other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions. Ability to work cooperatively with a team. Effective written and oral communication skills. Valid Drivers License. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis on Outlook.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT) and/or Masters Degree in Agriculture Animal Science or Education. Knowledge of career technical education. Prior related experience preferred. Industry credentials and/or apprenticeship in the relevant eld. Possess OSHA 30-hour certication.
