Job Summary:
The Assembly Trainer will train and onboard newly hired contract or full-time associates on manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure safe accurate and efficient practices within the manufacturing departments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Helps maintain a safe environment by reporting any issues or concerns and giving associates feedback on safety adherence.
- Serves as primary trainer for the line including providing hands on training document reviews and sign-offs.
- Introduces new associates to co-workers Team Lead and Manager.
- Communicates with team members including Team Leads and Production Managers to develop teamwork in the trainees.
- Trains from detailed instructions such as Operational Method Sheets (OMS) and Customer Orders.
- Mentors trainees on work practices rules and norms required to successfully integrate into the Moen team.
- Responds patiently to questions.
- Assists trainees in contacting resources for assistance during onboarding.
- Evaluates and provides accurate input to Production Managers concerning the ability of trainees to perform successfully.
- Provides required reports on a timely basis.
- Reports any concerns with the line such as but not limited to lack of materials equipment issues maintenance needs product concerns personnel issues etc. to the Team Lead or Supervisor for the area.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of six months total experience on an assembly line at Moen New Bern (including time as a contract employee).
- Must have efficiency in job specific skills.
- Must have the ability and willingness to help others.
- Strong interpersonal skills required; must be able to effectively communicate with all personnel.
- Must be well regarded and accepted by current employees.
- Associates who have been awarded a bid within the last 6 months will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from a bid job in the preceding 6 months.
- Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings for Group 1 rule violations within six (6) months of the posting date.
- Associate cannot have more than 1 attendance incident.
- Associate must be able to work 10 hours per day and 50 hours per week.
- Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
- Associates selected will receive the necessary training to perform the requirements of this position to include processes and computer requirements.
- A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
- Associate submits an application through Workday prior to the posting deadline.
