Job Summary

What youll do

  • Proactively hunt for new business and manage corporate and MICE accounts both local and international building relationships that last.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that smashes revenue targets and keeps our rooms and event spaces buzzing.
  • Get out there conduct sales calls client meetings and show off our spaces with site inspections that leave people wanting more.
  • Prepare killer proposals and contracts and negotiate rates that work for everyone while staying true to our guidelines.
  • Drive new business prospecting activities across the corporate segment - research and identify
  • opportunities for new corporate business in line with our budget.
  • Be our face at trade shows networking events and industry gatherings spread the Hox love far and wide.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Revenue Marketing and Operations teams to spot opportunities and make the magic happen.
  • Keep our CRM system up to date and provide sales forecasts and reports that help us stay on top of our game.
  • Work together with our Meetings & Events team to optimize MICE potential and revenue on corporate accounts.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping your finger on the pulse of market trends and what the competition is up to.

  • Strong knowledge of the corporate and MICE market if you know the Amsterdam region even better.
  • Keen to take ownership and work proactively; you dont have to be told what to do but want to take a lead role as part of a small team.
  • Youre looking to be part of a dynamic fast-paced environment where success often relies on being able to flex and change.
  • Youre a wiz at the Microsoft office suite; if youve used Opera Lanyon and other RFP tools before that would be an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English (Dutch is a bonus).
  • A proactive entrepreneurial mindset with networking skills that open doors.
  • You can work independently but thrive when collaborating with the team.
  • Organized detail-oriented and commercially driven you know how to make the numbers work.
  • You want to be part of a team that works hard supports each other and above all has fun with it along the way.
