Reporting directly to the Assistant Commissioner the candidate will serve as the Deputy Director of Property Management and will oversee the management of DOT properties in the City create a comprehensive database of DOT properties; respond to inquiries from other DOT divisions and external parties related to DOT properties and ROW issues conduct title search and coordinate any title search procedures related to DOT properties; coordinate transferring titles of streets to the City and work on submitting requests for CCO designation of streets; identify properties for revenue generation purposes and DOTs Facilities purposes conduct required land use procedures to establish Facilities sites and addition the Deputy Director will oversee and provide responses to inquiries from communities elected officials and their constituencies related to the street system; manage the agencys property portfolio; work to develop a comprehensive DOT property database to include information regarding all DOT properties private and CCO streets built and unbuilt streets street properties under the jurisdiction of other agencies and authorities; oversee investigations and studies pertaining to land use and transportation; and supervise staff.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATE MUST BE SERVING PERMANENTLY IN THE TITLE OF CITY PLANNER OR BE REACHABLE ON THE CITY PLANNER CIVIL SERVICE LIST.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning; or
2. A satisfactory combination of education and/or experience that is equivalent to 1 above. Graduate
education in city planning urban planning urban design architecture landscape architecture transportation engineering public administration economic development or related fields may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 graduate semester credits from an accredited college for one year of experience. However all candidates must have a baccalaureate degree.
Special Qualification Requirements
Assignment Level III
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level III individuals must have after meeting the minimum requirements one additional year of professional experience as described in 2 above.
Assignment Level IV
To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level IV individuals must have after meeting the minimum requirements two additional years of professional experience as described in 2 above.
