Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Plymouth to assist with the appointment of a Tree Officer on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.06 - 19.79 per hour

Summary:

The Tree Officer will work as part of a professional team delivering arboriculture services and carrying out tree inspections and assessments across Plymouth City Councils tree stock. The role ensures compliance with environmental legislation corporate performance targets health and safety standards and customer care expectations.

Responsibilities:

Undertake professional tree inspections and assessments across the Councils tree stock.
Provide arboricultural advice and recommendations in line with best practice and relevant legislation.
Ensure compliance with environmental legislation Council policies and service performance targets.
Follow standard operating procedures and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
Respond to customer enquiries and provide professional clear advice to residents and stakeholders.
Identify tree risks and recommend appropriate remedial actions.

Qualification:

NCH in Arboriculture or equivalent qualification

Essentials:

Full UK Driving Licence
Experience working within an arboriculture or tree management environment.
Knowledge of environmental and arboricultural legislation and best practice.
Understanding of Health & Safety requirements relating to tree work.
Ability to carry out professional assessments and produce clear written reports.
