About the Role

The Service Support Assistant role is part of the wider Business Support Service and the role includes completing tasks on various information and finance management systems within the timescales given improving data quality in key systems by working with a high standard of attention to detail and following agreed procedures.
Included in this role is the expectation to receive respond to and screen telephone calls emails and other enquiries and therefore to provide a high level of customer care.

The successful applicant will be working directly with the Business Services Manager within Synergy on a designated project. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to training materials and processes. As part of the wider team an important part of all roles within the service is to provide back-up to colleagues across service areas and to assist in handling urgent work on a day-to-day basis.

About You

To apply for this post you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:

  • A recognised academic qualifications e.g. GCSEs A Levels Vocational Qualifications Professional/Further Education Qualifications in a relevant area NVQ 2 in Business Administration or equivalent. Alternatively you will demonstrate an equivalent level of relevant experience.
  • Good computer skills including a good understanding of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook) with the ability to use spreadsheets and perform basic data analysis. You can provide evidence of establishing and maintaining manual and electronic admin systems.
  • Demonstrate that you have good organisational skills that allow you to prioritise your own workload and work under minimal supervision whilst maintaining a flexible approach.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and can demonstrate experience providing excellent customer care skills.
  • Able to produce accurate work to deadlines and demonstrate that you can work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Have demonstrated full understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and have experience working with sensitive information and have a knowledge of CFS Ofsted inspections and the requirements for CFS
  • Able to give evidence of numeracy and statistical analysis skills including experience working with financial information or in a financial setting.
