As Director of Field Engineering youll lead a team of Solution Architects who do one thing exceptionally wellshow customers exactly how Matillion eliminates the data bottlenecks stalling their AI projects. Leadership and Team
Build lead and scale a team of Solution Architects across North America Sales
Set standards own performance reviews and drive promotions and comp decisions
Create a culture of accountability customer obsession and high technical/commercial performance
Scale team capacity in lockstep with regional growth and Sales coverage needs
Revenue Enablement & Pre-Sales Strategy
Partner with Sales leadership on go-to-market coverage territory design and resource allocation
Lead technical win strategies for strategic accounts and complex dealsearly cycle engagement required
Drive technical qualification discovery solution design and proof-of-value
Track and improve: win rate sales cycle length technical close rate customer satisfaction
Technical Leadership
Define Matillions technical narrativeAI/ML use cases data transformation and business outcomes
Ensure architects articulate how Matillion enables AI readiness governance and modern data architectures
Stay ahead on competitive landscape cloud platforms (Snowflake Databricks Redshift BigQuery) and AI tooling
Translate product roadmap into customer-facing value; influence product direction with field feedback
At Matillion we are committed to providing competitive compensation in line with market standards based on the role job family job level and country. This exempt roles estimated annual salaried pay range for this position is $168000 - $252000. Because this role is eligible for variable pay in the form of sales commissions your total on-target annual earnings will be between $240000 - $360000. The final salary will be based on your relevant skills experience and qualifications demonstrated in the hiring process.
