About the Role:
As the Health Safety Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Coordinator you will play a pivotal role within the site management team working closely with the Project Manager and other onsite leaders to drive safety performance and achieve key HSEQ outcomes. This position is integral to the success of a critical contract for Mastermyne where you will coordinate and facilitate HSEQ activities for a workforce of more than 100 personnel. You will be supported by the Regional HSEQ Manager (NSW) ensuring strong operational alignment and access to specialist guidance. Your contribution will directly uphold our core value: Keep Safe.
About You:
Key Responsibilities:
As a HSEQ Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Providing HSEQ advice to the project team
- Contributing to the development of HSEQ projects and plans
- Ensuring the implementation of HSEQ processes to meet legislative client and Mastermyne requirements
- Facilitating risk management processes
- Coordinateanddelivertrainingneeds
- Providing exemplary assistance to injured worker/s
- Providing high-level advice on best practices to continually improve HSEQ performance
- Facilitating incident investigations
Skills & Experience:
To be considered for this role you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred)
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in a HSEQ Management/Coordinator role
- In-depth understanding of NSW Coal Mining HSEQ legislation and applicable standards
- Underground Coal Mining Industry experience (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Drive to continuously improve the Health and Safety of all people onsite
