Manager - Manufacturing Services Swing Shift (Multiple Positions)

What youwill do

Letsdo this.Letschange the this vitalroleyou will provide leadership and guidance to the teamin ourManufacturing Services area.The essential positionworksa 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule from9:30am to10:00pmsupporting our critical 24/7 manufacturing operationsincludingRaw Material and Solution Logistics Weighing and Dispensing Buffer/Media Solution Preparation Parts Washer and Autoclave.As Amgen relies upon the regular attendance of all staff members to meet legitimate business needsthe Managermust be able to work assigned 12-hourshift including during inclement weather some holidays and requested overtime in support of our operations.

As a member of the Manufacturing leadershipteamyou will work hand in hand with a multidisciplinary team to deliver robust equipment procedures and processes tooperatethematerial handlingflow andsupporting equipment. This includes hiring andtrainingtheExternal Workforcerequired tosupport productionoperations of the plant.

  • Leada diverse and impactful teamof External Workersin GMP operations

  • Be responsible forthe safety and quality culture of the department and champion continued improvement

  • Monitor and takeappropriate actionsto ensure adequate warehouse capacity isavailable

  • Oversee inventory control and cycle countprocess

  • Serve as owner ofMaterial TransferEquipment(e.g.preventative maintenanceoperabilityetc.)

  • Own and/or provide input and support for quality system records (deviations change control records CAPAandSOPs) or other records (e.g.business continuity plan user requirementspecificationsandrisk assessments)

  • Assess impact of new requirements changes processes regulations to the department

  • Align with the broader organizational strategy and deliver continuous improvement

  • Support regulatory inspections for areas of responsibilities including evaluating complex compliance issues and developing playbooks for the inspections

What we expectofyou

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED and 12 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR

  • Associates degree and 10 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR

  • Masters degree and 3 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience OR

  • Doctorate degree

And

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements you must have experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams projects programs or directing the allocationorresources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven managerial experienceand/or proven technicalexpertisein a GMP manufacturing drug substance plantthatutilizesSingle Use technology Dispensing Inventory Control

  • ProvenexpertiseinERP-SAP and MES and inventory management

  • Cross-functional work experience in eitherSingle Use Technology Supply ChainProcess DevelopmentandQuality or Engineering

  • Excellent communicationand change managementskillswithdriveasense of urgencyhighenergyleveland problem-solving abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to forge andmaintainstrong relationships with other functional areas

  • Ability to optimally develop and mentor staffto broadly build inventory managementexpertiseto the internal site teams
