IT Data Engineering Intern

Work Period: June 1- August 21 2026

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time 40-hour-per-week position with minimum 4 days per week onsite in our Boston office.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Work within our Customer data engineering team to build customer-focused datasets that enable data analysts and data science teams

• Extract data from various data sources perform exploratory data analysis then cleanse reshape and aggregate data into a modern data warehouse

• Participate in discussions with business partners data analysts and data scientists to translate business questions into data engineering requirements

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies like daily standups backlog grooming sprint planning and the occasional sprint retrospective

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Basic Qualifications

• Familiarity with an IDE such as Visual Studio Code Cursor or IntelliJ

• Familiarity with data structures

• Familiarity with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Kimball data modeling techniques

• Basic Python programming experience

• Experience with git/GitHub

• Experience with an RDBMS such as MySQL PostgreSQL etc.

PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a College or University undergraduate program as a rising junior or senior

• Available to participate in our full-time intern program from June - August

• Ability to live within commuting distance of our Boston office and be on-site a minimum of 4 days per week
