Job Description

TheSr. Director Compliance & Ethics - Technology Data and Research(Sr. Director) willberesponsible formanagingthecompliance and ethics programfor McKessons Innovation and Technology businesses within McKessons Oncology & Multispecialty organization comprised of OntadaGenospaceand Compile.She/Hewill report directly to McKessons Vice President Compliance & Ethics TechnologyDataand Researchwithin McKessons General Counsel Organization.

The ideal candidate will havesignificant experienceinmanaging a compliance program for ahealth caretechnologyand/or life sciencesorganization with astrongbackgroundincomplianceor audit.She/hewill have broad familiarity with the laws and regulations governing the activities ofhealth care technology health care providers pharmacies andlife science companies.Astrong executive presence andademonstratedability to collaborate with large stakeholder teams in ahighly matrixedenvironmentis critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure programmatic alignment with the Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program.

  • Lead coach and develop compliance professionals promoting collaboration critical thinking and operational excellence with direct report(s)and staff.

  • Lead investigations ensuring prompt documentation triage rootcause analysis resolutions and remediation

  • EnsureI&Toperatesin accordance withinternal policies and procedures and relevant federal and state laws and regulations with a focus ontechnology and life sciences areas.

  • Applya working knowledge and understanding of requirements and risks associated with AntiKickback Statute (AKS) False Claims Act (FCA) Fraud Waste & Abuse (FWA) and 21st Century Cures Act (data interoperability and information blocking)

  • Provide solutions-oriented and strategic advice to management related to daily operational activitiesincluding reports dashboards and risk assessments

  • Provide guidanceand oversightin preparation for andduring auditsbygovernmental agenciescustomersor other third parties including Internal Audit.

  • Manage the annual and ongoing Compliancerisk assessmentand workplan processesincludingmonitoring and auditingworkplans.

  • In close coordination with the Quality teamassistwithdevelopment and implementation of corrective action plans in response to findings from auditsmonitoring activities and incidents.

  • Partneroninternal andexternal communications to partnersand customers on compliance-related matters.

  • Develop and implement compliance training programs including specialized curricula forOntadaLearn technology and commercial teams.

  • Build operationalize and continuously improve auditing and monitoring programs including riskbased testing issue tracking corrective action followup and business partner monitoring

  • Partner and collaborate with internal teams and personnel including McKessonsCybersecurity Data GovernanceandRisk ManagementteamstheGlobal Privacy Office Legal Internal Audit Quality Operationsas well as cross-Business Unit collaboration

  • Pays meticulous attention to detail and verifies work product and conclusions are well supported andaccurate.

  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills asdemonstratedby the ability to articulate ideas thoughts and information in a logical manner and sequence to summarize issues clearly and succinctly.

  • Demonstratestrong analyticalorganizationaland problem-solvingskills.

  • Ability to apply sound judgment and make decisions which are supportable andappropriate giventhe available information.

MinimumRequirements

  • 10 years progressivecomplianceexperiencewith a health or related company

  • Abilitytotravel domestically up to25%

  • Workingknowledgeofapplicablelaws and regulations

  • Preferencegiven to candidates withhealthcare technology and/or life sciencesexperience andany of theHCCA IAPP or applicablecertifications.

Education

  • Undergraduate/Bachelor degree (REQUIRED)

MinimumEducation &TypicalExperience orEquivalentCombination

  • Degree or equivalentexperience. Typically requires13 years of professionalexperience and 6 years ofdiversified leadership planningcommunication organizationand people motivation skills (orequivalent experience)
