The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Roman Group at the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute ARMI based at the Clayton campus.
This research-only Level A position will contribute to innovative projects in skeletal muscle tissue engineering with a focus on understanding intercellular communication at specialised cellular junctions in vivo and in vitro. The successful candidate will lead scientific projects involving iPSC culture and differentiation and apply spatial transcriptomics approaches to interrogate regenerative processes at high resolution.
You will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary research environment and contribute to high-impact publications conference presentations and collaborative research activities.
This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your independent research profile while contributing to transformative discoveries in regenerative medicine.
About You
You will hold a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and demonstrate a strong research track record in regenerative biology or a closely related field.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience in iPSC and myoblast cell culture and differentiation
Experience in biomaterials muscle biology and advanced microscopy
A strong publication record and analytical capability
Excellent organisational and communication skills
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team
Experience in spatial transcriptomics or related high-dimensional molecular techniques will be highly regarded.
About the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute
Established through a joint venture between Monash University and the Victorian Government ARMI is one of the worlds largest regenerative medicine and stem cell research centres. Located at the Clayton campus ARMI is embedded within a vibrant biomedical precinct working closely with the Monash Institute for Medical Engineering the Biomedical Discovery Institute and CSIRO.
ARMIs mission is to unravel the fundamental mechanisms of regeneration and translate discoveries into innovative clinical protocols and commercial technologies.
