Summary

Entry Level. Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activitiesrelative to identification control and accounting for systems and or equipment in accordance with contractualrequirements. Establishes procedures for the introduction of changes to engineering documents for an assignedprogram. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineeringquality support manufacturing and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements areimplemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration managementpolicies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Requires extensive entry of data into computer systems
  • Evaluates and analyzes draft engineering authorizations for compatibility with current product definition asrepresented in the latest issue of the drawing plus any outstanding unincorporated engineering authorizations.
  • Assesses need and coordinates related engineering authorizations applicable to next assemblies or acceptanceequipment. Assists engineering personnel with incorporation instructions and material disposition.
  • Coordinates CM (configuration management) requirements with interfacing organization and customerrepresentatives (master scheduling material control analysts quality manufacturing purchasing engineeringinventory control and program management) to negotiate and ensure requirements are incorporated.
  • Updates MBOM (manufacturing bill of material) as defined on AMLs (Automated Material Lists) parts listspackage drawings 461Es and engineering authorizations in accordance with the Condition of Release codespecified on the EDR (Engineering Drawing Release) or Indented EDR with Configuration ManagementSpecialist Sr supervision. Assign prefixes and delete restrictions as required.
  • Establishes and maintains item master attributes. Coordinates changes and the associated impact with otherorganizations. Audits records and develops corrective actions to assure data accuracy.
  • Maintains current MBOM files reflecting additions deletions and revisions with supporting documentation. Maintains EDRs that restrict fabrication and/or procurement.
  • Maintains engineering authorization files.
  • Assists in incorporating usage of processing material in the MBOM as defined by the AML or 461E with AnalystII Config Mgmt supervision.
  • Develops revises and maintains divisional procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance. Assistsin the development of innovations in departmental systems and functions. Conducts routine and special studies that involve compiling data analyzing results preparing and maintaining documentation and proposing andimplementing recommendations. Serves on various committees and task forces as assigned.
  • Maintains professional contact and participates in CM associations and activities.
  • Recommends change to improve business processes.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirementsto ensure the protection of employees the public and the environment.
  • Takes actions necessary to stop work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has theright and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified.
  • May perform other duties as required.

You Must Have

Bachelors degree in business or technical field or two additional years of direct work experience in lieu of a bachelors degree.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
United States Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

We Value

  • Production Planning Product Design or Configuration Management experience. Demonstrated leadershipabilities and configuration management skills. Ability to solve data problems utilizing analytical tools.
  • Computerized ERP/MRP application experience.
  • PC literacy required proficient in MS office products.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of or ability to learn KCP systems including MES Matrix Command Media and others.
  • Ability to interface effectively with internal customers.
  • Some positions may require additional training and qualification.
