Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry heritage wildfire planning and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a Senior Wildfire Planning Technician to our Wildfire Planning team.

The Boring Stuff.


Responsibilities:


As a Senior Wildfire Planning Technician you will be responsible for the following:

Assisting with the development of Fuel Management Prescriptions Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans Wildland Urban Interface Wildfire Risk Reduction Plans Burn Plans and more
Helping our wildfire operations and/or forestry divisions as needed
Working with a Wildfire Project Manager to lead projects or sub-components of projects within the wildfire planning division


What we are looking for:


  • Minimum 2 years experience developing wildfire management projects in BC such as FMPs CWRPs and tactical plans
  • Wildland wildfire fighting background helpful wildfire behaviour courses a super bonus!
  • Forestry development in BC including but not limited to cut block layout riparian and ecological assessments road layout and site plan writing
  • ArcGIS Pro prowess UAV mini drone (< 250 g) license and/or fire behaviour modeling proficiency
  • Holding RPF or RFT status with the FPBC is an asset will consider those who are working to achieve their letters
  • Adventurous self-starter that works well in small teams
  • Willing to travel throughout BC
