DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES : The person selected will: Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice; Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs; Prepare complete course syllabi and outline and work on articulation with local colleges and universities; Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success; Teach day evening and/or weekend assignments; Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program; Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee; Be committed to the participatory governance process.
Required Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : The successful candidate by the final filing date must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges: Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR Any bachelors degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR The equivalent OR Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
