CSP Ministry Associate Denver Campus

Position Overview:TheCSP Ministry Associate Denver Campusserves as a pastoral presence for Concordia University St. Paul atitsDenver Campus cultivating spiritual care community well-being and mission-centered support for students faculty and staff. This role embedsConcordiasChrist-centered Lutheran identity throughout campus life through CSP ministry leadership crisis care relational support and cross-department collaborationparticularly within the Health Science programs.

This position strengthens student resilience advances spiritual formation and ensures a visible accessible ministry presence at the Denver campus.
Essential Duties:
  • Public Ministry & Campus Gatherings
    • Provide pastoral leadership at key institutional moments.
    • Preside atDenver campus graduation ceremonies (three times per year).
    • Participate inthe Denver campus student orientation which includesmission-centered elements such as theBlessing of the Hands.
    • Provide spiritual leadership within faculty and staff environments as invited.
    • Represent CSP in selected community church or partner engagements in the Denver region.
  • Crisis Response & Pastoral Care
    • Offer compassionate pastoral care within a high-stress academic context.
    • Provide responsive pastoral support crisis care prayer and counseling for students faculty and staff as needed.
    • Collaborate with theUniversity Pastor CSP Ministry Team VP for Faith & MinistryDean of Nursing Academic Advisors and ABSN facultyto coordinate spiritual support during peak-stress periods (e.g. midterms finals).
  • Pastoral Presence & Wellness Ministry
    • Sustain a proactive ministry of encouragement spiritual care and community support.
    • Evaluate and implement Bible study for students faculty and staff at the Denver campus.
    • Maintainregular drop-in pastoral availabilityfor confidential conversation prayer and support.
    • Build a consistent ministry presencethrough CSP communication and engagement platforms.
    • Promote student well-being belonging and spiritual resilience through relational ministry visible presence and proactive encouragement.

Education & Experience:
  • Rostered and ordained LCMS pastor
  • Experience in pastoral care campus ministry student services or higher education preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively within academic clinical and ministry environments
  • Strong commitment to student flourishing spiritual care and mission integration
  • Ability to travel locally and maintain flexibility for occasional evening/weekend responsibilities
