About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Assistant Training Advisor to join our this role you will serve as the initial point of contact for apprentices trainees employers and training providers in offering essential guidance and administrative support for vocational education and training (VET) programs. You will also assist in the daily operations of the Regional Centre by engaging in customer service administrative tasks data processing and contributing to Centre functions and outreach activities.

Key accountabilities

  • Respond to counter telephone and email enquiries on apprenticeship support services and VET programs providing excellent customer service
  • Deliver administrative support including office tasks spreadsheets word processing and data management while maintaining confidentiality
  • Support field officers in their duties including preparing documentation and generating data reports
  • Assist with training programs projects and associated payments to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide guidance on Skills Recognition Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act (2001) Apprentice Connect Australia Provider and training options Fair Work Australia provisions and user choice options to respond to customer enquiries.

About you

  • Works confidently in a structured environment following policies procedures and guidelines
  • Consults the line manager on complex or sensitive matters to support sound decision-making
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Shows investigative skills and the ability to analyse information to resolve issues

Essential requirements of the role

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment.
  • Current and Valid Drivers Licence and willingness to travel
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
