Ford Motor Credit Company (Ford Credit) has received regulatory conditional approval to form Ford Credit Bank (the Bank) to be headquartered in Salt Lake City Utah. The Bank will create innovative and simplified banking solutions to help customers across the country finance the purchase of new Ford vehicles parts accessories and software and earn competitive rates on FDIC-insured savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The Bank will be a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Credit Company (Ford Credit) an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company (Ford).
The successful candidate will be a member of an exciting and dynamic team of banking professionals who would have the opportunity to stand-up and begin the operations of the de novo Bank. New employees hired by the bank will initially be Ford Credit employees. Once the bank is formally established these employees may be transferred to the new bank

In This Position...
The Risk Officer will report directly to the Banks Chief Risk Officer and will be responsible for developing implementing and managing all aspects of the Banks operational risk management and related programs. This individual will ensure the programs align with industrys best practices and function with a high level of compliance with both internal policies and federal and state regulatory requirements. The Officer is required to be knowledgeable and skilled in the areas of operational risk management and be able to independently assess associated risk and develop effective risk management programs in support of a proactive operational resiliency posture.
What youll do...
Direct the development and execution of the Banks operational risk management program to align with the Banks governance framework and risk appetite and comply with Bank policy and federal/state law and regulation
Oversee the framework to identify and assess operational risks across the organization utilizing techniques and tools such as business impact analyses risk and control self-assessments scenario analyses and root cause analyses of incidents
Develop and maintain the banks risk and control register ensuring all identified risks and controls are documented and tracked
Identify and monitor key risk indicators and analyze industry-wide operational risk trends to provide insights and develop comprehensive risk reports for senior management the board of directors and relevant committees
Collaborate with other department heads to develop implement and oversee a crisis and operational incident framework including data collection analysis response and recovery
Develop and introduce a business continuity plan framework which includes the identification of critical business processes and their dependencies risk assessments recovery objectives and testing in support of a proactive operational resiliency posture
Identify opportunities for operational control improvements and collaborate with business units to design implement and monitor the effectiveness of operational controls
Act as the primary contact for regulatory examinations internal audits and external audits of the operational risk management programs. Respond to exams and audit concerns and coordinate corrective action of all related findings
Oversee activities of the operational risk management team develop personnel and collaborate with other department heads to deliver on specific objectives and initiatives
Provide guidance and training to business lines to promote awareness of operational risk and foster a strong risk culture throughout the Bank
Represent the Bank in civic and community reinvestment functions

The Minimum Requirements We Seek
Bachelors degree preferred
10 years of banking experience
A minimum of 2 years experience as an Operational Risk Professional
Strong understanding of banking regulations operations products and systems
Proven experience in developing and implementing operational risk management frameworks and policies
Advanced knowledge of risk assessment techniques and tools including Governance Risk and Compliance software
Strong communication and presentation skills and proven customer service experience
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong ethical behavior and the ability to work with sensitive information
Excellent leadership skills and the ability to train and develop employees and align them to specific objectives
