Position: Payroll Officer
Location: Limassol Cyprus
Employment type: fixed-term contract (1 year) with possibility of permanent upon fullfiling
Remuneration: Base salary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for group employees
- Collect and validate monthly payroll changes from internal departments
- Coordinate with external payroll providers and review payroll calculations before final approval
- Prepare and distribute direct salary payments in applicable jurisdictions
- Upload payroll batch files to banking systems for processing
- Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation tax regulations wage laws and benefits administration
- Generate payroll reports and analyses for management as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation
- Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and group payroll analysis
- Post payroll-related journal entries in accounting software
- Respond to employee payroll-related queries professionally and confidentially
- Collaborate closely with HR to ensure accurate employee data and policy compliance
- Support additional payroll and accounting tasks as assigned by senior finance leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Estonia or other regions payroll legislation will be considered as an advantage
- Solid understanding of payroll principles practices and statutory requirements
- Proven experience in payroll of multinational groups with more than 150 employees
- Excellent command of English both written and spoken. Fluency in Greek will be considered as an advantage
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy and analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
