What youll doadminister medications to residents as prescribed and accurately document administration
observe document and report medication effectiveness side effects and adverse reactions to nursing staff
promote and protect resident rights during medication administration
store handle and account for medications according to policy and regulations
maintain accurate medication records and shift accountability
obtain document and report vital signs as indicated during medication administration
follow infection control and medication safety practices
inspect clean and monitor equipment and supplies used in medication administration
communicate clearly and professionally with residents staff and leadership
seek guidance from licensed staff when clinical clarification is needed
assist with additional resident care duties as assigned
What youll bringcurrent Kentucky CNA certification
Successful completion of the medication aide examination (MACE) in Kentucky
high school diploma or GED
completion of a medication administration training program approved by the Commonwealth of Kentucky or equivalent
at least 1 year of experience in a long-term care or senior living setting preferred
strong attention to detail and commitment to medication accuracy
ability to follow clinical direction and regulatory standards
clear and professional communication skills
commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork
successful completion of pre-screening hiring requirements
