Weresearching for a Chicago-based US Corporate Income Tax Manager to join ourGlobal Tax & Treasuryteam so that we canexecute advanced tax strategies across multiplejurisdictionsandoptimizetax efficiency while ensuring full compliance with complex individualcontributorwill translate intricate legislation into practical business guidance manage tax risksupport major transactions anddeliver enhanced reportingin order tosupport organizational growth.
How Youll Spend Your Time
Oversee US federal state and local income/franchise tax filings and drive efficiency accuracy and automation of tax compliance and reporting processes.
Manage the tax provision processin accordance withASC 740/IAS 12 and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Develop and implement strategies tooptimizethe companys tax position and advise ontaximplications of business decisions.
Provide guidance on tax matters for mergers acquisitions and restructuring activities ensuringoptimalintegration of tax considerations into deal structures.
Manage and coordinate federal and state tax audits and resolve inquiries from tax authorities.
Monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation and assess their impact.
Evaluate and improve tax operational processes and manage tax software including leveraging technology platforms and digital tools to improve tax operational processes.
Advise internal teams on evolving compliance requirements enabling consistent alignment between operational activities and legal obligations
What Kind of Things Were Most Interested in You Having
5years ofrelevant tax experience preferably including public accounting and corporate tax departmentexperience
Proven success in developing and implementing complex multi-jurisdictional tax strategies thatoptimizeefficiency while ensuring compliance
In-depth knowledge on how to interpret US federal state and local tax laws ASC 740/IAS 12 US GAAP/IFRS and corporate income tax regulations
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
A knack for working collaboratively within cross-functional teams while independently managingstakeholder relationships
Strongproficiencyin tax preparation software financial technology platforms and advanced Excel
Ability to travel within US Canada and UK as needed (passportrequired)
