Sales Administrator

Location: Malton North Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday on-site (flexible start and finish times)
Salary: dependent on experience

Are you currently working in Sales Administration or Sales Support and looking for either a step up or a similar role within a well-established reputable business

This is a great opportunity to join a long-standing food manufacturing company in Yorkshire supporting a busy commercial team and gaining valuable exposure to how major retail accounts are managed.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers reports and data but who also likes being part of a sales team and contributing to wider commercial decisions.

The opportunity:

Youll sit at the centre of the sales function supporting account managers with the day-to-day running of customer accounts. The focus of the role is on accuracy analysis and providing insight that helps the team understand performance and identify opportunities.

This is not a cold-calling or target-driven sales role. Instead its about supporting the sales team working with data and adding value through insight and organisation.

Youll be involved in:

  • Providing day-to-day sales and commercial support to account managers
  • Producing sales reports and working with figures KPIs and performance data
  • Updating pricing customer systems and internal records
  • Supporting forecasting promotions and seasonal planning
  • Reviewing sales trends and highlighting opportunities or risks
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market movements
  • Working closely with teams across supply chain finance marketing and operations

This role will suit you if you:

  • Have experience in Sales Admin Sales Support Commercial Support or Order Management
  • Are comfortable working with Excel numbers and reports
  • Enjoy analysing data and spotting patterns or opportunities
  • Are confident speaking on the phone and dealing with different stakeholders
  • Pick things up quickly and enjoy a fast-paced environment
  • Are either looking to step up or continue developing in a similar role within a more established organisation

Experience in food manufacturing FMCG retail or supply chain would be beneficial but what matters most is your ability to support a sales team and work confidently with data.
