Job Overview:
The Membership Manager leads all membership sales retention and department operations with a focus on revenue growth member experience and strong team performance. This role is responsible for meeting acquisition retention and revenue targets while ensuring consistency professionalism and compliance across all membership processes.
As part of the leadership team the Membership Manager develops and executes strategies to drive sustainable membership growth enhance sales performance and strengthen long-term member value. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on daily leadership using data reporting and cross-department collaboration to refine systems improve efficiency and enhance the overall member experience.
Responsibilities
Member Retention & Experience
Lead initiatives that improve satisfaction engagement and retention
Serve as an escalation point for member issues and service recovery
Monitor utilization and identify opportunities to enhance member value
Support renewal communications and member experience initiatives
Operations & Administration
Oversee daily membership operations and policy compliance
Ensure accuracy of account updates data entry and documentation
Assist with billing audits account reviews and outstanding balances
Maintain accurate and consistent membership reporting
Reporting & Data
Review daily and monthly membership reports
Track retention churn utilization and experience metrics
Provide insights and recommendations based on trends
Ensure reporting accuracy across the team
Team Support & Coverage
Provide guidance and support to Membership Representatives
Assist with onboarding training and coaching
Support scheduling and on-site leadership as needed
Ensure accurate sales tracking for commission processing
Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with Operations and Marketing on member initiatives
Assist in retention campaigns and engagement efforts
Ensure alignment between membership goals and operational execution
Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
4 years in membership sales or sales leadership
Strong analytical leadership and communication skills
Experience with CRM or membership management systems
