Safety Manager - Manufacturing & Construction
Position Summary
Platinum Global Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Safety Manager is responsible for directing implementing and strengthening all Environmental Health & Safety initiatives within a fastpaced onsite manufacturing and construction environment. This role provides proactive safety leadership ensuring production teams trade partners and subcontractors maintain the highest level of compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a culture where safety is integrated into every operational decision. The ideal candidate is a handson safety professional with strong influence technical rigor and proven experience driving incident reduction and regulatory excellence.
Responsibilities
- Champion all EHS programs by delivering ongoing training coaching and enforcement of safe work practices across manufacturing and construction operations.
- Monitor and manage subcontractor compliance including reviewing sitespecific safety plans leading toolbox talks and verifying daily adherence to safety expectations.
- Conduct routine inspections risk assessments and safety audits; lead PTP (PreTask Plan) meetings and support preconstruction safety planning efforts.
- Evaluate and enforce compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements as well as ownerspecific safety standards.
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics identify trends and drive corrective action plans to continuously reduce incidents and improve safety outcomes.
- Administer site drug and alcohol screening protocols in alignment with company policy and regulatory obligations.
- Collaborate closely with production and operational leadership to embed safety into processes decisionmaking and team behaviors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated EHS leadership experience within manufacturing and/or construction environments.
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA regulations and proven ability to interpret apply and train teams on compliance requirements.
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Engineering Industrial Technology or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience (3 years in construction safety) will be considered.
- CHST certification required or willingness to obtain within two years.
- OSHA 30Hour certification required.
- Strong ability to lead influence and partner with crossfunctional teams subcontractors and field personnel.
- Excellent communication problemsolving and incidentprevention skills.
