Certs Reuqired: ACLS BLS CRT State licensed Skills: Adult Critical Care Emergency Department Extubation Nasal airway placement Nasal airway suctioning Oral airway placement Oral/nasal Suctioning Pulmonary Hygiene Sputum specimen collection Tracheostomy care/management Albuterol Atrovent Combivent Flovent Inhaled steroids Isuprel Lidocaine Perforomist Pulmicort Racemic epinephrine Spiriva Terbutaline Sulfate Tobramycin Xopenex Aerosol set up mask Aerosol set up trach Medihaler Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI) Hand held T-piece Trach collar High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Trach collar BiPAP CPAP Troubleshooting high pressure alarms Weaning from mechanical ventilation Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) No Locals. Must be > 50 miles Call Required: Y EPIC Required Patient Diagnoses: Use of Phillips V60 Bipap Bipap Vision and Teleflex High Flow Nasal Cannulas preferred Special Procedures/Unit Details: Small community hospital respiratory therapy department managing emphysema asthma and other respiratory disease processes. We do non-invasive ventilation high flow oxygen therapy aerosol therapy ABG draws and analysis and chest physiotherapy. Invasive Ventilation is stabilized in the emergency room and shipped to our sister hospital CPH. We run primarily 12 hour shifts 7a-7p & 7p-7a with one 8 hour shift on Fridays to make an 80 hour work pay period. On Friday nights from 1 a.m.- 7 a.m. on call is required.
