Technical Job Title: Technical Project Manager ( Mainframe and Cloud technologies)

Location: Remote (Work from Home) Austin Texas

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

• Lead end-to-end delivery of reporting and data-extract migration initiatives from mainframe to cloud or data lake platforms
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans including timelines milestones deliverables risk registers and dependency tracking
• Deliver multiple concurrent technical projects on schedule and within budget
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business units leadership data engineers solution architects and technical teams
• Conduct detailed discovery and requirements sessions to define reporting data extract and downstream integration needs
• Translate complex business and technical requirements into actionable implementation plans
• Oversee ETL/ELT pipeline planning data migration strategies and data transformation workflows
• Ensure accurate implementation of requirements through close partnership with engineering and architecture teams
• Apply Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban for sprint planning backlog grooming and incremental delivery
• Monitor project performance quality assurance processes and solution performance metrics
• Proactively manage project risks issues assumptions and mitigation strategies
• Maintain executive dashboards status reports Gantt charts and stakeholder communications
• Manage stakeholder expectations across technical and non-technical audiences
• Support regulatory and compliance obligations through disciplined documentation and traceability
• Contribute to enterprise reporting modernization and BI platform transition efforts
• Lead large-scale modernization or mainframe decommissioning initiatives
• Ensure scope alignment and structured change management
• Demonstrate technical fluency in data architecture reporting frameworks and modernization strategies
• Operate effectively in fast-paced evolving technical environments
• Access the agency environment using GoToMyPC (or similar secure remote access tools)
• Provide own equipment capable of secure remote connectivity (agency equipment may be issued if necessary and must be returned upon contract completion)
• Support occasional after-hours weekend or holiday work as required and pre-approved
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Extensive experience in technical project management focused on data or system modernization
• Strong understanding of mainframe systems legacy reporting structures and data-extract processes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Snowflake Azure AWS or similar
• Proven expertise gathering and documenting complex business and technical requirements
• Background in enterprise reporting systems and business intelligence environments
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale modernization initiatives
• Expertise developing executive-level reporting and project governance documentation
• Strong organizational skills with adaptability in high-visibility initiatives
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse stakeholder groups
