Job Overview

Tekberry is seeking an experienced Technical Writer III to support our client in developing and maintaining complex technical documentation. This role is responsible for creating high-quality documentation that supports products services and internal processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering product management customer support and marketing.

The ideal candidate brings 3 5 years of technical writing experience in a technology-driven environment strong documentation tool proficiency and the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development

  • Create edit and maintain user manuals installation guides release notes online help documentation FAQs and other technical materials.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate clear concise and aligned with company branding and tone standards.
  • Organize complex information into user-friendly formats for internal and external audiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) engineers developers and product managers to gather technical information and understand product functionality.
  • Participate in design reviews and product development meetings to ensure documentation reflects current features and enhancements.

Research & Analysis

  • Research technical concepts user workflows and industry best practices to develop clear documentation.
  • Identify gaps in existing documentation and recommend improvements.

Content Management & Publishing

  • Manage documentation repositories and version control using tools such as Confluence SharePoint Git or similar systems.
  • Maintain publishing workflows to ensure documentation remains current and accessible.
  • Ensure documentation updates reflect product changes and customer feedback.

Documentation Tools & Templates

  • Utilize tools such as Windchill Adobe FrameMaker MadCap Flare RoboHelp Markdown editors or Microsoft Word to produce high-quality content.
  • Maintain standardized templates to ensure consistency across documentation sets.

Quality Assurance

  • Proofread and edit content for accuracy grammar clarity and compliance with internal style guides.
  • Conduct usability reviews and gather feedback to improve documentation effectiveness.

Project Management

  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Track project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in English Technical Writing Communications Computer Science or a related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3 5 years of technical writing experience preferably in a technology-driven or software-focused environment.
  • Experience working with Agile development teams is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Windchill Adobe FrameMaker MadCap Flare RoboHelp Markdown editors or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and version control tools (e.g. Git GitHub).
  • Basic understanding of programming languages APIs or software development processes preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI-based document enhancement or content organization tools is highly valued.

Writing & Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into accessible content for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Soft Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving mindset to manage shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles or visual design tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles or structured content authoring methodologies.

Work Environment

  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • May require occasional travel for collaboration or product-related training.
