Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. (NT Power) delivers electricity to almost 50000 customers within the Town of Newmarket Town of Midland and Tay Township. Headquartered in Newmarket Ontario NT Power has an additional office in Midland Ontario approximately one hour north of Newmarket along the shores of Georgian Bay.
We require a dynamic highly motivated and proactive Financial Analyst to work out of our head office in Newmarket. This is an 18-month contract position. This role operates in a flexible hybrid setting combining remote and in-person work arrangements.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst provides regulatory and financial support to the Regulatory Finance Manager and the CFO. Responsibilities include mainly supporting the preparation and processing of the companys cost of service rate filing and incentive rate mechanism filing with the Ontario Energy Board. Other responsibilities on an as-needed basis include supporting regulatory projects assisting with regulatory Reporting and Record-keeping Requirements (RRR) to be in compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and supporting regulatory financial reporting cycles. The Financial Analyst will work in a team environment providing day-to-day support on regulatory and finance function as required.
