Our client is a growing technology solutions company that builds and operates enterprise telecommunications infrastructure for some of the largest service providers in the country. Theyre known for their operational excellence and a client-first culture — and right now theyre in the middle of a meaningful platform modernization effort migrating mission-critical systems from legacy architecture to next-generation cloud-based solutions.
The Opportunity
This isnt a ticket-queue role. As a Level 2/3 Telecom Systems Support Engineer youll be a key escalation point for live production systems that power real communications infrastructure. Youll dig into complex incidents across OS network application and database layers — and youll own issues through to resolution.
If you thrive in high-stakes production environments and want your work to matter this role is worth a close look.
What Youll Do
Production Support & Incident Resolution
Youll investigate and resolve escalated incidents on telecom platforms serving enterprise clients — analyzing logs diagnosing service failures and working across the full stack to restore stability. On-call rotation is part of the role.
Platform & Systems Operations
Youll support both legacy platforms during their end-of-life transition and the new-generation systems replacing them. That includes health monitoring proactive issue identification and managing work through Jira.
Linux & Cloud Infrastructure
Day-to-day youll be working in RHEL/CentOS environments hosted on AWS (or GCP) writing and running Bash or Python scripts for diagnostics and supporting cloud-hosted telecom workloads.
What You Bring
The must-haves are straightforward: 47 years of Linux administration in production environments real troubleshooting depth across infrastructure layers comfort in AWS or GCP basic scripting ability and solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP DNS). Jira experience is a plus.
What sets strong candidates apart is hands-on experience with telecommunications or VoIP platforms SaaS or cloud-hosted application support or prior work in telecom billing messaging or mobile environments.
What Success Looks Like
Six months in youll be the person the team calls first on a hard incident. Youll have a reputation for fast thorough resolutions clear communication under pressure and a stable track record keeping production platforms healthy.
