Position Summary
The Clinical Educator I Travel ensures that Sterile Processing staff both internal and external to STERIS are properly trained and operating within the guidelines set forth by various industry standards and regulations including but not limited to HSPA CBSPD AORN The Joint Commission FDA CDC DNV OSHA AAMI and those of STERIS and its customer facilities. Performs various educational duties under supervision and guidance from Manager Clinical Education and/or onsite operations leadership. Potential to support and work alongside all instrument processing solutions to include but not limited to continuous improvement off site reprocessing centers and/or outsourced engagements. Travel positions require up to 100% domestic travel.
Duties
What youll do as a Clinical Educator:
- Design and implement comprehensive training plans aligned with facility priorities and individual staff development needs.
- Facilitate multi-week hands-on training programs for all new Sterile Processing team members to ensure readiness and compliance from day one.
- Maintain detailed documentation of training activities and regularly review programs to ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
- Conduct regular evaluations to identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans for continuous team improvement.
- Develop and deliver ongoing education sessions focused on the latest products technologies and best practices in Sterile Processing.
- Partner with clinical and administrative teams to ensure training initiatives support broader organizational goals.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages professional growth accountability and high performance.

High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- High school diploma or GED Bachelors degree preferred
- 3 years experience in Sterile Processing
- 3 years experience in training
- Sterile processing certification required
- Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements
Pay range for this opportunity is$67362.50-$87175.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
