Duties & Responsibilities
  • Execute the procurement strategy and ensure alignment with the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) initiatives and supply chain objectives.
  • Develop and implement supply chain management operating models to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships ensuring compliance with contracts and performance metrics to optimize service outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align supply chain activities with overall business strategies and goals.
  • Lead and mentor supply chain teams to achieve high performance and continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain initiatives to ensure operational resilience and compliance.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance using key performance indicators to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service level agreements.
  • Influence and improve internal and external stakeholder relationships to foster collaboration and achieve business objectives.
  • Manage financial aspects of supply chain operations including cost reduction and efficient resource utilization.
  • Champion and facilitate the development of sourcing capabilities within the team to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to governance compliance and regulatory requirements within the supply chain activities.


Minimum Requirements
  • BCom (Hons) degree in a relevant field (Essential/Minimum)
  • Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in supply chain management (Essential/Minimum)
  • Proven experience leading teams in service level agreement incident and problem management
  • Strong understanding of SAP Material Management and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based procurement solutions (e.g. Coupa)
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to align supply chain objectives with business strategies
  • Proficiency in developing sourcing capabilities and driving service improvements to enhance SCM performance
  • Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
  • Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
