Job Summary

Our client a leading distribution company based in Midrand is looking for a Product Manager IBM who is born living and working in Kenya. This is your chance to shape strategy grow revenue build powerful partner ecosystems and make a real impact in the African tech market.


What you will do:

Sales & Revenue Growth:

Own and drive total revenue and GP for the IBM portfolio.

Partner with the Clients Africa sales teams to accelerate pipeline and close deals.

Develop strategies to win new accounts and grow existing customers.

Segment customers strategically to maximise market opportunity.

Drive forecasting accuracy and provide regular business updates.


Product Strategy Leadership:

Manage the full product lifecycle from launch to optimisation.

Align vendor strategies with Client Africas market goals.

Launch GTM campaigns that spotlight key IBM solutions.

Track product performance and adapt strategies for success.


Partner & Channel Development:

Build and grow a strong IBM partner ecosystem.

Recruit onboard and develop high-performing partners.

Collaborate on growth strategies and market expansion.

Equip partners with tools training and marketing support.


Enablement & Training:

Deliver impactful training programs for internal teams and partners.

Create enablement plans tailored to partner strengths.

Support sales teams with product knowledge and positioning.


Marketing & Campaign Execution:

Run exciting joint campaigns with IBM and channel partners.

Launch innovative marketing initiatives to generate leads.

Support customer events and reference site engagements.


Vendor Relationship Management:

Build strong relationships with IBM locally and globally.

Align strategic goals between Client Africa and IBM.

Manage vendor programs and reporting requirements.


Operational Excellence:

Drive strong opportunity management and account planning.

Expand market reach and customer base across Kenya.

Influence internal teams and partners in a matrix environment.





Requirements

What were looking for:

5 years Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the IT industry with exposure to both the commercial and public sectors.

Proven experience in product marketing and product management.

Strong background in account and partner management.

Experience working through the channel to drive targeted revenue and market growth.

Technical Competencies:

Knowledge and experience in tech marketing strategy consulting and partner/channel management.

Understanding of IBM products (advantageous).

Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and deliverables.

Strong understanding of personal computing applications and their market relevance.
