The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our global R&D team. This role is primarily focused on the creation of 3D models and 2D drawings representing standard parts and accessories used in transformers. You will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of reusable components within our central engineering repository.
How youll make an impact:
- Design and creation of 3D CAD models and 2D drawingsfor standard transformer accessories and components. Ensure models meet engineering standards and are compatible with PLM systems (e.g. Windchill).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and maintain specifications for reusable parts. Support the integration of 3D models into the central PLM repository and ensure alignment with global standards.
- Assist factories in implementing standardized components and accessories. Analyze part data and attributes classify them appropriately and validate against global specifications.
- Participate in the migration and cleansing of legacy standards into the central repository. Provide operational support for classification and attribute selection of standard parts.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to verify mapping of global standards to supplier products.
- Ensure high data quality and consistency across standard transformer components. Work closely with cross-functional teams to define classification structures and attributes.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineeringor a related field with 3-5 years of experience
- Proficiency in PTC Creofor 3D modeling is essential. Familiarity withPLM systemssuch asPTC Windchillis a plus.
- Strong understanding of international standards (ISO DIN IEC IEEE ANSI). Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Experience in thetransformer industryor similar mechanical engineering domains is preferred. Experience withEngineering Change Management (ECM)processes is a plus.
- Exposure todata analysis and classificationof engineering components is beneficial. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
