About the opportunity
The Manager Curriculum and Quality manages learning and teaching quality assurance across the Health portfolio with a focus on professional accreditation major course review and course and unit monitoring processes spanning diverse health disciplines and statewide campuses.
Reporting to the Dean Learning and Teaching Performance Health this role provides executive support to the Health Learning and Teaching Committee. It also delivers high-level analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making and leads projects that advance the Health portfolios learning and teaching priorities
To be successful in this role you will require strong knowledge of national higher education standards professional accreditation frameworks and University academic governance along with the interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with academic leaders professional bodies and regulatory agencies.
What youll do:
- Manage learning and teaching quality assurance across the Health portfolio including supporting professional accreditation processes ensuring consistency and compliance with University policies and procedures and maintaining a high level of performance across Health academic units.
- Oversee major course reviews and unit monitoring processes in accordance with University policies and TEQSA requirements.
- Provide high-quality executive support to the Health Learning and Teaching Committee and Learning & Teaching strategic projects including preparation of agendas papers briefings and post-meeting action.
- Lead and coordinate Health-wide strategic projects that progress the portfolios learning and teaching strategy.
- Produce high-level analysis and reporting on learning and teaching performance accreditation status and quality assurance metrics.
What were looking for:
- A postgraduate degree with extensive relevant experience or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary education quality assurance including professional accreditation course and unit review and compliance with higher education provider rules ordinances policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to drive activities that enhance the quality of learning and teaching in a dynamic multi-disciplinary working environment.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across disciplines Schools and with external stakeholders particularly in the health sector.
- A track record of building effective and productive links across organisational boundaries including with other colleges and central University functions.
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 8 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $152033 comprising base salary within the range of $114282 to $129943 plus 17% superannuation.
