Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer II to support electric distribution projects for utility clients. This role focuses on designing reviewing and delivering safe reliable and cost-effective solutions for overhead and underground distribution systems.

What Youll Do:

  • Apply technical expertise to develop engineering designs that meet project specifications codes and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages calculations and drawings.

  • Support the preparation of simple to moderately complex designs and contribute to larger more complex projects.

  • Lead discipline-specific design efforts on simple projects and assist with technical analyses on complex work.

  • Utilize CAD and engineering analysis software to support project deliverables.

  • Communicate scope cost schedule and quality challenges to team leads and project managers.

  • Interact with clients on a limited basis and ensure clear professional communication.

  • Conduct self-reviews and participate in peer and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy.

  • Support fielding activities and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering at ABET accredited university
  • 1-2 years of electrical distribution design experience
  • Knowledge of the software BOUD and Maximo
  • Client Facing Experience / construction support.
