Job Summary

Position Summary

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness safety and operational readiness across manufacturing laboratory warehouse and office environments. This role directly supports production uptime and protects sensitive R&D and manufacturing processes through proper housekeeping and contamination control practices.

Essential Job Functions

Perform daily cleaning of production floors labs offices restrooms and common areas
Operate and maintain floor scrubbers buffers vacuums and related janitorial equipment
Remove debris metal shavings dust and contaminants from manufacturing areas
Follow established cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Support 5S and lean manufacturing workplace organization standards
Handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental procedures
Support facilities and maintenance teams with basic non-technical tasks as assigned
Follow all PPE safety and facility access requirements

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
1 year experience in janitorial industrial cleaning or facilities support (manufacturing environment preferred)
Ability to safely operate powered cleaning equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Strong reliability attendance and attention to detail
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
